This guide covers:
Software requirements
Apple devices: iOS 13 or newer
Android devices: Android 6 or newer
Android devices running 6 and above are supported, however, due to the vast number of manufacturers, models, and software versions, we haven't been able to test all combinations. Please get in contact with our support desk if you have any questions or problems
Space requirement: At least 2GB of space
This should be enough for a 1-hour recording, but each device will record at a slightly different resolution. On average, devices will record at 600MB-1GB per hour however it's important to note that the device will need double this space for the encryption process to be able to take place.
1. Connect Devices to WiFi
In order to sign in to the Record app for the first time, your device/s will need to be connected to the internet.
Whilst you can use your device on a mobile internet connection, speeds are typically faster over WiFi and there aren't any concerns with a data allowance that you will have with mobile connections.

3. Turn on Automatic Updates
Apple (iOS)
Enable automatic updates on your Apple Device:
- Go to Settings
- Tap App Store
- Turn on App Updates
Android
By default, apps are updated automatically when the following constraints are met:
- The device is connected to a Wi-Fi network
- The device is charging
- The device is idle (not actively used)
- The app to be updated is not running in the foreground
Google Play typically checks for app updates once a day, so it can take up to 24 hours before an app update is added to the update queue. After an app is added to the queue, it will be automatically updated the next time the constraints above are met.
